"Chronicle är ett kärleksbrev till RuneScape-universumet"

Gamereactor hälsade nyligen på hos Jagex i Cambridge för att kika närmare på deras kommande kortspel Chronicle: RuneScape Legends. Vi hann även prata med project lead James Sweatman som hade mycket intressant att förtälja, inte minst vad som skiljer detta mot andra spel i genren.

"All of the environments are inspired by RuneScape locations, so we've taken some artistic license with them to get them into the book, but we've also re-envisioned them in this higher fidelity than you'd not necessarily see in RuneScape. It's a real love letter to the RuneScape universe, both in terms of the characters and the boards themselves."

Har du inte spelat RuneScape tidigare, är det inga problem enligt Sweatman:

"For people that maybe don't know RuneScape, they offer a completely different visual aesthetic to the board game that you'll be interacting with, also in the future we'll be adding gameplay to that as well. So you randomly encounter the different pages that you come across, the locations, and each one of those locations in the future will have their own card with them as well."
